    The Indian Chartered Accountancy Course is the membership qualification course offered by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). Any person who wants become a member of ICAI and designate himself as a Chartered Accountant in India has to pass this course. This course is a optimum blend of practical and theoretical education. It consists of three levels of examinations and three years of practical training under a practising Chartered Accountant. The Chartered Accountancy course is considered to be one of the rigorous professional courses in India but not difficult if one puts his fullest efforts.

  • Syllabus

    • Common Proficiency Test(CPT)

      Common Proficiency Test (CPT) This is an entry level test for Chartered Accountancy Course.

    • Professional Competence Course

      Professional Competence Course (PCC)This is the stage of the chartered accountancy curriculum after CPT wherein only working knowledge of core and allied subjects to accountancy profession is covered.

    • Final Course

      Held twice every year in the months of May and November. It comprises of two groups. Candidate can appear for groups / group I / group II as the case may be subject to fulfillment of eligibility condition.

  • Eligibility Criteria

    • Common Proficiency Test(CPT) Eligibility :

      Passed Std. X examination or equivalent can join CPT after registration with the Board of Studies & can appear after appearance at Std. XII.

      Note : A student who has got himself registered for Common Proficiency Test on or before 1st April and 1st October for appearing in CPT examination which are in June and December respectively every year.

    • Professional Competence Course Eligibility:

      A student who has passed Common Proficiency Test (CPT) and Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 examination) conducted by an examination body constituted by law in India or an examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto may join the Professional Competence Course (PCC).

      A student can appear in Professional Competence Examination (PCE) after successful completion of 100 Hours of Information Technology Training and also completion of 15 months of articled training three months prior to the first day of the month in which Professional Competence Examination (PCE) is to be held i.e. after completion of 15 months of articled training as on 1st February/1st August for appearing in May/November Examination or 18 months of articled training as on 1st May/November.

    • Final Course Eligibility:

      The candidate must have passed the Intermediate/ PE-II Examination.

      The candidate must have obtained Final Course registration number.

      The candidate must have completed the practical training as required.
